fix you up

Id like to believe I’m getting the hang of this whole “having way too much free time” thing. I’d also like to believe I’m getting the hang of myself.

A couple days ago I read a text on a friend’s tumblr about not making resolutions of stuff you should do next year, but yet 30 things you should stop doing to yourself. Of course, it’s a slap in the face and I bet no one on this entire planet is capable of not doing any of those things. We’re only human after all.

But some of the things have proven to be real issues for me, and I don’t believe in this whole “oh it’s a new year, let’s all start doing things differently just cause it’s January 1st again!”, just like I don’t believe in starting diets on Monday. You don’t just pick a day in advance for you to change. You change when you’re ready. Having tons of free time can make you ready for just about anything.

Me? Well, you know me, I’m fond of doing the opposite of everyone else. So where do I begin? At the end, of course.

    30.   Stop being ungrateful. – No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life.  Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.  Instead of thinking about what you’re missing, try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing
